Highlights this year for me were seeing the Lincoln and Vietnam Memorials in DC in the freezing dark; searching for a country getaway in Round Top, TX (see pic);

Merry Christmas from Kip
It's amazing how much we've done is such a short year. And, of course, how much we've left for next year:) I remember when I was growing up in San Antonio Christmas always came in the twelfth month of the year, and it was usually cool, sometime even cold. I know that now we've lost at least one. maybe two months out of the year - they claim its still twelve months long, but we can all tell it's a lot shorter than it used to be.

a fantastic summer vacation in SE Asia; watching Heidi play school volleyball; seeing Daniel successfully launched into high school; and spending another year with my wonderful wife Lynn.

Hello from Lynn
Highlights for me were trips to Asia both for business and pleasure. On the pleasure trip took 3 weeks off work (no work email, no conference calls, no blackberry) - it was long enough that I didn't even dread returning to work. Amazing! The four of us reconnected, lazing around Asian beaches, visited lots of old friends and colleagues, but never enough time to visit with everyone. (read more about all that on my trip blog)
Dove in at the deep end with Web 2.0. For the uninitiated that is the term for the collection of new internet tools that facilitate easier connections between people on the internet, i.e. such things as blogs (like this card), social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, etc and much more.
Come visit me in Facebook! Now multi-tasking even more than before.
Daniel has been my teacher and guide along the way, but now informs me that this Christmas card idea is "over the top".
Hope you like it and have some fun trying out new things too. I'm working on the principle that "if you learn new tricks, you won't turn into an old dog"!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Lynn
